James Purcell Design was formed in 2014. James is a furniture designer/maker based in the beautiful town of Killarney in the idyllic southwest of Ireland.

He has been working with wood from an early age, taught by his father, a keen turner/carver. He progressed through multiple disciplines embracing the style and teachings of different cultures and incorporates them into his pieces. Moving on from practical furniture making, James pursued his passion for variety and creativity forming a business to reflect his personality. Ambitious, enthusiastic and always pursuing unknown wonder and adventure.
Each piece is a finely handcrafted ornament designed to outlast trends and time ultimately becoming a testament to both heritage and contemporary design.
